PUBLIC NOLICE is hereby given that the assessment for the Municipal year, ending 31st July, 1873, has been duly made: Notice is further given that the said assessment having, on the 15th day of April, 1873, been allowed by this Council, is now deposited, and may be inspected daily at'the Town Clerk's Office, between the hours of 11, a.m., and 3, p.m., by any person interested therein: And Notice is further given that any appeals against the assessment must be lodged in the form in Schedule B, of the Otago Municipal Corporations Empowering Act, 1865, at the Town Clerk's Office, on or before the 27th day of April, 1873 ; also that a copy of each notice of appeal is required by law to be served not later than the 27th inst., upon any person whose name it is proposed to insert in the assessment, or who may be in any way affected by such appeal. A copy of each notice of appeal is also required to be delivered by the appellant to the Clerk of the District Court, on or before the 27th day of April aforesaid. And Notice is further given that the hearing of appeals against the Baid assessment will take place at the District Court, before his Honor Judge Gray, on Monday, the 2&th of May, 1873. P. B. TO THE DISTRICT OFFICER AT QUEENSTOWN. T\TE HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that we intend to construct a water race for the parpose o driving machinery for a Woollen Manufactory and Sawmill, commencing at the One and Two-Mile Creeks, at the points where the two water races owned hy us take their source, and terminating at the Lake. The length of such race is threequarters of a mile or thereabouts ; and its intended course is towards the east. The mean depth and breadth of sach race is 15 inches by 24 inches, and is capable of carrying three sluice heads of water J. W. ROBERTSON & CO. Qucenstown, April 7th, 1873.
