At tho half-yearly meeting of tho Colonial Sugar Company it was announced that the net profit was £IIS,SSI, the total, including dividends on the shares of the Fiji and. New Zealand Company, being £137,816. It was decided to authorise a dividend of 61 per cent. The chairman roported that dry, cold weather in tho autumn and winter had reduced tho crop io a third of that obtained in 1917. The Federal Government had taken over the 1918-19 crops under an agreement which forbade further proceedings under '.he pi'ico fixing scheme for nearly two years.
