VENDEUIL CAPTURED. A. a/nd N.Z. Cablo Association and Reuter. LONDON, September 28. A French communique says:—ln the region of Sones and St Quentin we continued to advance. Last night we penetrated the. woods north of Ly-Fon-taino, and carried the fort and village of Vendeuil. We pushed on to the Oise. Our reconnaissances took prisoners north of the Aisne and in the Champagne towards the Butte du Mesnil. We rcpblsed enemy raids north of the Vesle and in the Vosges.
