TRAMWAYS AND RAILWAYS.
YEAR'S OPERATIONS IN NEW SOUTH WALES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Receivel August 4, 5.5 p.m. SYDNEY. August 4. The- annual report of the railways and tramways shows that tho railways deficit totalled £28,916. though the earnings increased by £574,795. The tramways showed a surplus of £40,835. The working expenses disclosed a reduction of £88,107. . It is estimated that the railways lost £425,000, and the tramwavs £150,000, as a result of the big strike.
