SCHOOLGIRLS’ COMPETITION. The competition for the rose bowl presented by the Canterbury Centre of the Royal LifeSavin'' -Socioty for competition amongst teams* of girls from primary schools, took place at tho Tepid Baths last night. In* result is: East Christchurch. 312 points . . 1 West Christchurch No. 1 team, 236 points . . > 1 _r -2 West Christchurch, No. 2 team, 223 points . . ... . *5 The work of the East Christchurch team was far superior to that of the other teams, especially in land 1 drill and the breast stroke. The water drill of the two West Christchurch teams, however, was of a high standard. Mr H. Brewaxd was the instructor of the East Christchurch team, and Miss Cow* ley instructed tho West Christchurch learn*. The judges wore Mrs Bambery and i'Lrssra Wyn-Irwin, C. Bryant and I, A. Watkina.
