WooL—Thera wr.s a misosllaneouß catalojue and a spirited competition for all combing wools at lato rates. Faultv and burry were somewhat slow. There waa much inquiry for colonial cross-breds by Yorkshire manufacturers, who fear that the Government may compel them to take aomo English wcol at the Government price. The following prices wero realised for fleece portions of the New Zealand clips named:—Kumukumu, top 20Jd, aveiago 10id; Wharamu, top 21Jd, average 19Jd. Tho last sale of the eoventh eeries will clo*e on October 0, unlimited catalog. The 'ast rcrics of the year has been fixed lor December 6, with a limit. The following prices were realised for the Jiooco r>or'inns of the New Zealand clips namsd:—lC.A. top 24d, average 21d; Ardkeen, top 19d, average 18d; Washdyke, top 40d; average 30Jd. IULLOW. At tho tallow gj'os 1188 casks were offered, sellers acoepting about 2s reduction and 664 <yisks wero sold. Mut.on and b:ef tallow, fine, aro quoted at 46s Cd, medium 435. MINING SHARES.
