LONDON, September 13

• The first stone vessel has been launched. She is constructed of concrete, except for steel ribs. A leading Swedish shipowner ordered tho first vessel of 3000 tons, and he is delighted with the result. He proposes to construct concrete ships of from 15,000 to 20,000 tons, to be used as lailway ferries between Gotheborg and England. Experts consider that a new epoch in shipbuilding is'inaugurated.
