Dominion Meteorologist s summary and forecast:— A westerly depression has been displaced during the past thirty-six hours by the centro of an anti-cyclone in the sou tin the winds backing from north-west to south-east, with changeable and showery conditions. A storm area appears to be developing to tho northwestward of the Dominion. Present indications are foT strong southeasterly winds, banking to easterlv in and northward of Cook Strait, and north-easterly winds elsewhere. Expect cloudy and misty conditions generally, with rain probably following in the course of a day or two. Barometer fall everywhere soon.
