CURRENT NOTICES.
On Thursday, April 29, at 7.30 p.m., Professor J. Macmillan Brown will deliver a lecture on " The Present "War and the Future of the Pacific. The lecture will be under the auspices of the Workers' Educational Association. The Social Democratic Party will hold a social and dance in the Ridgley Hall. Armagh Street, to-morrow evening, at eight o'clock. The Railway Department announces that the Waipara-Parnassus train, 7.15 p.m. on Wednesdays, and the Parnas-sus-Waipara train, 4.45 p.m. on Thursdays, will be discontinued after April 30."
The monthly meeting" of the Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association will be held in the Druids' Hall on Saturday, May 1, at 8 p.m. .
