M'CULLY GUP COMPETITION. Tlie fourth and final event for the M’Cully Cup in connection with the Red and Black Association, which took the form of a go-as-you-please race on the Cashmere Hills, was held on Thursday evening. The course was from the foot of tho hills round the tramline, up Hackthorne' Road to Shirley’s Corner, and back by tho same route to Packwood’s store, a distance of- about three and three-quarter miles. The following was the result:—A. "Waddell (3min 45 sec), 1; E. V. Phillips (3miu 4osec), 2; and R. F. Gudgeon (scr), 3. The fastest time was secured by R. F. Gudgeon, who did the course in 20mm 3osec. A. Waddell secured second fastest time in 21 min 22sec. The cup has been won by Gudgeon, as he cannot now bo beateu, although one more race was to have been held. The following are the points secured for tho trophy during the season:—R. Gudgeon 14, E. Phillips 8. A. Greenfield 7, A. Waddell 5. T. N. Wallaco 2, L\ C. Inglis 2, R. H. Biwnlia 2.
