PATRIOTIC FUND.
CHRISTCHURCH COMMITTEE. The fund is established »with the following objects:—(a) To provide for those dependent on our volunteers should it be found nece®* sary: (b) to assist, volunteers returning physically unfit until such time ns they aie again restored to health; aud (c) generally j to apply the binds m such manner as thr executive may deem necessary. to alleviate suffering and distress caused by the present crisis. Donations may bo fovwaidel to tho Mayor of Christchurch, the town clerk, or the" secretary, Mr R. T. Tosswill, Royal Exchange Buildings, and will be acknowledge* through these columns. YESTERDAY’S CONTRIBUTIONS. The following are yesterday’s contribution* to the Mayor’s Patriotic Fund:— £ a. d. A.H. 110 H.E. (per Mrs Hamilton) . 1 0 f“ The secretary of the fund, Mr R. T. Tosswill, has for sale a large number of “ National Hymn and Song ’ sheets suitable for schools and classes, which may b* obtained at threepence a copy.
