The barometer has fallen very low in tho south. Northerly winds have increased strong to a gale with gloomy weather and lain in many parts of the country. Present indications are for northerly end T!:3tf\iiy winds, strong to » gale. Weather Rtoiar. with rain generally, and heavy on •the rest coast and southern districts. The burororfer is likely to fall further, but rise in thd south on Saturday, when the wind will probably change to south, with cold and squally conditions.
