LADIES’ TOURNAMENT. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September S. To-day Manawatu beat Wanganui by 2 to 1. Nelson beat Wellington A by 4 to nil. The semi-finals will bo playod to-mor-row. Tbs Rovers (Kaikoura) Girls’ Hockey Club plavod at Waiau against Waiau Hockey Club on Wednesday, and lost by one goal to nil. The goal was shot by Miss E. Creed. In the evening the visiting toam was entertained at a dinner and dance. The Christchurch Hockey Club held its annual dinner last evening, Mr. D. Manson being in the chair. The evening was pleasantly spent with musical items and toasts, and several prizes were presented.
