UNION ROWING CLUB. The Trial Double Sculls was commenced on Tuesday evening and continued throughout the week. The racing was not of a high standard. The heats resulted as follows: A. Osborne and C. Mills and C. Scott; F. Stewart and L. Frankish beat A. Freeman and S. Mazey; F. Booth and J. Pierson beat S. Marshall and T. G. Sutherland. Second round—Adams and Masson beat Osborne and Meachen; Stewart and Frankish beat Dallison and Coupland; Burley and Mitchell beat Booth and Pierson. Semi-final—Adams and Masson teat Stewart end Frankish. Final—G. Mitchell and A. J. Burley (S. Harrington cox) beat Adams and Masson.
