Heaton Rhodes, M.P., one of the Commissioners to represent New Zealand at the Festival of Empire and Coronation Exhibition in London. Two presentations were mado at the annual meeting of the Sydenham Football Club last night to members who were married recently. An easy chair was presented to Mr B. Hopkins,'and an overmantel to Mr TV. Lyes. Mr Bamford, registrar-general of land, who is retiring, will be succeeded bv Mr G. G. Bridges, district land registrar at Christchurch, whose place will he taken by Mr 4V. Winks ('Dunedin). Mr Winks will be succeeded by Mr t l . E. Nalder (Invercargill), Mr Nalder by Mr G. Pauling (Napier), Mr Pauling byMrF. Aspinall (Napier), Air Aspinall by Air J. A. Fraser (Napier).
