Canterbury, 3|d : North Island, 3§d : River Plate, 3jd. Lamb—The market is dull on account of heavy arrivals. Stocks are accumulating. Canterbury, tralian, 3i(L Beef—Tho market is steadv, and prices are well maintained. Stocks of New Zealand beef on hand are light. New Zealand hindquarters 33d. forequarters 3Jd. Butter.—The market is quiet, but holders are firm for best quality. Choicest New Zealand, 106 s; Australian, 102 s ; Danish, 120 s ; Siberian, 106 s. Cheese. —The market is firmer, and there Is a better demand, especially for white at 575. Coloured is in moderate demand at 535. Tho market has been favourably affected by the CanadianAmerican agreement. Hemp.—There is a better demand, and the market is firmer. New Zealand good fair on spot £2O, fair grade £l9, fair current Manila £l9; forward shipment, New Zealand good fair £2O vs per tom fair grade £l9 ss, Manila £2O ss. The output from Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. Wool.—Tho market remains firm. Cocksfoot.—The seed market is firm. Buyers have been offering for cocksfoot seed more freely. Bright, clean New Zoaland seed, 171 b por bushel, 74s 6d per cwt. Eggs and Poultry.-—The egg market is quiet and firm, with a good demand for all descriptions.
