RETIRING AGE OF OFFICERS.
AVIATION CORPS. XJr.H*- Pr«ss Aesociation —By Electrio legraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, March 6. The ?>tfeeral Executive has issued a regulation reducing the retiring age ot colonels to fifty-eight, lieutenantcolonels to fifty-five and captains to fifty.
Great indignation is expressed in military circles. The Minister of Defence, Senator Pearce, states that in the next Estimates provision will be made for an aviation corps.
ADMIRAL HENDERSON’S REPORT. MELBOURNE, March 6.
Admiral Henderson’s report urges the expenditure of £3.000,000, a large proportion of which would be on an adequate naval dock.
