A robber killed a policeman at Alexandria, Indiana, when he was discovered holding up a jewellery store. The robber fled, and barricaded himself in a vacant house, which a nosse of police surrounded, and a fight appears imminent. An accomplice was arrested, and a mob endeavoured to storm the gaol and lynch tho prisoner, but it was dispersed.
