William Stanley Forbes, the Sydney manager of the Scottish Union National Insurance Company, has been arrested on a. charge of stealing a valuable security. Forbes recently purchased a schooner, which was found provisioned ready to proceed on a cruise in tho South Seas. A deficiency of about £IOOO has been dkcovcrc-d in tho books. MISS IRENE AINSLEY.
