MASTERTON SHOW.
[Per Press Association.] MASTERTON, February 18. The Mastertoii show opened to-day. Rain commenced to fall in the afternoon and continued for a short peiiod. The entries are a record in the history of the Association, being over IbUO. The class of stock all round was good, cattle, Romneys and Lincolns being particularly good. Championships were won as follows -.—Romney ewe—\V. B. Alien; ram—G. Short., Lincolns: Ram—Bland Rayner; ewe \V. Perry. Border Leicester: Ram—G. Si evens; ewe-Slack Brae Southdowns: Ram and ewe—G. Slioit. J.m 0 fish Leicester ram—W. Perry; ewe— W Perry Shropshire ram—Seth Smith.’ Shorthorn bull-Trnstees D. M’Master; heifer--Estate John Deans. Thoroughbred stallion—C. M Cullough. Porirua. Hereford . cow-M Gregor; bull—J. F. Moore. Jerseys : Bull—P. Hunter; cow—W. Hand and A. E. Booth. Pigs: Boar-S- R. Lancaster; sow—T P. Lett. Tamworth boar—W. Morris; sow—T. E. White.
