THE WEATHER IN NEW ZEALAND The following weather reports were received from New Zealand stations at 5 p.'.u yesterday: Manukau Heads—Wind, south breeze.; barometer 30.22, thermometer 70; fine, bar rough. New Plymouth—Wind, S.E., fresh; barometer 30.30, thermometer 70; very misty, sea moderate. Castle Point—Wind, S.W., light; barometer 30.35, thermometer Gi; showery, sea moderate. Wellington—Wind, S.S.E.. fresh; barometer 30.43, thermometer 00; cloudy. Kaikoura—Wind, south breeze; barometer 30.12, thermometer CO; gloomy, sea light.. Bluff—Wind, S.W., light; barometer 30.45, thermometer 60; fine. CAPTAIN EDWIN’S FORECAST.^ Captain Edwin’s forecast, telegraphed nt noon yesterday, is as follows; " Southerly moderate to strong winds; glass little movement; probably very cold night.” Captain Edwin reported at 5 p.m.:— “ Moderate to strong winds, principally from the soirtfi, changing eastwards.
