IMPROPER LANGUAGE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Thor© was a bicycle race ill Marshland on Friday night, and I was at inv gate with my wife and two young daughters, and there were Ecmo young men, or rather I should call them, and they were using the most filthy language imaginable, and when gently remonstrated _ with they passed remarks that were simply disgusting. It was dusk, or I would have found out who they were. I think the police should take a hand next time there is a race in Marshland. 1 think I could tell the police some of them, hut as it was daik I could not positively swear to them. It is a pity respectable people cannot stand at their own gate without being insulted by such low blackguards. If my bicycle had not been punctured I should have followed them up and given them in charge of the Richmond police, as I am sure they were Richmond hooligans. To call them men ■would be an insult to manhood. If the police wish for any information they can got my address by applying to you.—l am, etc., MARSHLAND RESIDENT..
