There is much uneasiness in Washington at the disquieting tenor of despatches from Tokio. There are indications that Mr Taft will make a call of courtesy at Japan while proceeding to the Philippines, and the visit will become a mission of importance. Bellicose language is attributed to Tani, leader of tho Opposition, in a speech in the House of Peers in Tokio.
