A NARROW ESCAPE. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, June 11. The barque Eagle Crag, on j her voyage from Liverpool narrowly escaped destruction by fire. The fire was caused by a lamp upsetting in the sail locker on April 13. The fire spread with alarming rapidity, and holes were cut in the deck, and water poured in, which finally extinguished the flames.
