CONCERTS IN DUNEDIN. [From Our Correspondent.] DUNEDIN, January 31. Two open-air concerts, at which pop'i* lar prices were charged, were given in the Botanical Gardens yesterday by the Beeses-o’-th’-Barn Band, and drew immense audiences. The afternoon one was attended by 7000 people, and in tlie evening over 18.000 paid for admission. The trams established a record in the matter of passengers. [Per Press Association.] Yesterday’s traffic on the tramways in connection . with the Besses-o’-th’-Barn Band’s open-air concerts broke all records. Over-32,000 passengers were carried, yielding £283. Forty cars were employed running a twominute service. It is estimated that the two concerts yielded close on £IOOO, the afternoon’s gate represent, ing over £3OO. The Corporation will receive £2O, making its actual, profit about £l2ow
