PROFESSOR FOSTER. United Press Association—By Electric T elegrap h—Copyright. LONDON, January 31. Tho death of Professor Michael Foster is announced. (Professor Foster was born in 1836, and practised as a surgeon for some years in Huntingdon, was elected Professor of Physiology in the University of Cambridge in 1883. He was one of the secretaries of the Royal Society, and was the author of a well-known and widely-read text book of physiology. Ho represented London University in the House of Commons from 1900 to 1905). DR LAISHLEY. SYDNEY, January 31. The death is announced of Dr Laishley, formerly of Auckland. SIR JOHN SEE. (Received January 31, 9.52 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 31. Sir John See died to-day. The' doctors have not yet decided on the precise cause of death, which was sudden, though Sir John has ’been ailing for some time. A few months ago ho met with a painful accident while motoring. (Sir John See was born in England, in 1845, and arrived in Sydney with hia .parents 'in 1853. He entered politics in 18S0, and since that year he was a prominent figure in the New South Wales Legislature.)
