Begging. —John Hughes was charged with being an idle and disorderly person, and with begging. He admitted having been convicted of a similar offence in Auckland. M’Dougall (as Aulsebrcok and Co.) v. 0. Winclelburn, £2 Is 6d; Dennis Bros. v. N. F.-Knight, £2O 18s 6d; Milburn Lime and Cement Company v. Walter Harrison, £ll 15s 8d; R. Weston* v. Temper© and M’Kenzie, £5 13s 4d. Judgment for Defendant.—E. J. Rosevear (Mr Cuningham) sought to obtain judgment against Elizabeth Strachan (Mr Weston) for £6, alleged to be due as a balance of £lB for the installation of a hot water service. After hearing the evidence of three witnesses, His Worship gave judgment with costs for the defendant.
