The Queensland Agent-General spent the vacation unofficially in investigating the habits of the agricultural classes of Germany, Denmark, and Finland, with a view to forming an opinion of their suitableness as settlers for Queensland. , He considers that the peasants of the three countries, especially Finland, would supply excellent emigrants, but need assistance in the matter of passages.
