A team of the Christchurch City Guards journeyed to Doyleslon on Wednesday to.fire a match aga/usi the Ellesmere Mounted Rifles. The Ellesmere men led at the first range by six points, but the Guards overhauled them at the last range and won by fifteen points. The scores were:—City Guards 629, Ellesmere Mounted Rifles 614.
