A letter was received from the Southland Racing Club stating that the stewards would further consider the Ringwood case after - the holidays, and duly report to the Association. The Granity Trotting Club was affiliated to the Association. The action of the stewards of the Auckland Trotting Club in dismissing a protest by H. Hamilton against the stake in the Insulation Handicap at the club’s spring meeting being awarded to Harold Abdallah, on the ground that the horse had galloped, was endorsed. Correspondence was read in reference to the case of the horse Scrutineer, disqualified by the Inangahua Trotting Club, and it was decided to write to the club asking why the nomination was received after the advertised time. The disqualification of the horse Jardy (late The Shiner) was removed. The Now South Wales Trotting Club wrote stating that W. S. Tuckey, owner and rider, and, the chestnut mare Eva, were disqualified for twelve months for suspicions practices in the Epping Handicap at the club’s meeting on October 31. The disqualifications were endorsed. The Foreign Horse Committee suggested that in view of the new code of rules in the hands of the Rules Revision Committee, making registration of a horse compulsory before nomination, exception should be made in the case of a foreign horse intended to bo raced in New Zealand, and required to be nominated before arrival in the colony, provided registration was effected within fourteen days after arrival. The Auckland Trotting Club wrote forwarding the evidence taken by it in reference to the horse Logan, ridden at Waihi by a disqualified person. It was decided to postpone consideration of the matter until next meeting. The Licensing Committee recommended that the application from Ernest O’Brien should he held over pending a reply from him regarding his connection with the unregistered horse Claremount, and also that James Coe should be asked to explain wby his license to ride, drive and train, granted at a previous meeting, should not be cancelled for his suspicious practices in connection with the horse Logan.

Licenses as recommended by the committee were granted. Programmes as passed by the Executive were approved. It was decided to write to the Amberley Steeplechase Club, requesting a reply within fourteen days, to the letter sent by the Association some time ago. GLENORA AND CAMBRIA PARK STUD SALE.
