The German Press is pessimistic regarding the Moroccan Conference, and warns the French -not to forget that the Kaiser insists on the independence of Morocco and the retention of all international rights. ■ Germany is willing that France should police the Algerian frontier if the rest of the country is divided into international police sections, herself desiring control of the Mogador district. BRITISH CO-OPERATION WITH FRANCE. PARIS, January 2. The French Press asserts that Sir Edward Grey, ' British Secretary for Foreign Affairs, directed the British diplomatists to work' hand in hand with the French abroad. BELGIUM’S VIEW OF THE SITUATION. BRUSSELS, January 2. In view of the general European situation, the Belgian Government is preparing to mobilise instantly.
