LAWN TENNIS.

The- committee of the Canterbury' Lawn Tennis Association met on Thursday evening; present—‘Messrs W. Goss (chairman), Jr. A. Laurie, H. Curtis, IS*. Lockwood, L. A. Longuet, A. Borrows and A. F. Messrs Goss, Borrows and Laurie were elected a committee to select players to represent Canterbury and to arrange for courts for the It was decided that: the following- players should be asked to practice for the match; Misses Xicholson, Jamieson, Harman, Van Asch, Crawford, Goodman, Berkley, Whitehouse and Miller, and Messrs' R. D. Harman, F. M. B. Fisher. P. Laurie, A. Borrows. W. H. Kiver, G. Aitken, W. Goss, E. 'J. Boss and C F. Salmond.
