RAIXGIORA. The weekly market was held at Rangiora yesterday, and was well attended. The entry comprised 2000 sheep, 160 cattle and 200 pigs. ASHBURTOX. At the Tinwald yards yesterday there was not.ii largo entry of stock. The sheep were mostly ewes with lambs, very few 'hoggets offering. The cattle sale was not large, but quite up to late rates. The attendance was fair and bidding was brisk for anything good. The fat sheep pens were better filled, and prices were quite as good as last week's ; ewes and lambs were quite 9d to Is better. The following were prices: Cattle.—Stores: Springer £5 12s 6d, dairy cows in milk £6 to £7 10:?, 15-months' old cattle £3 2s. Fat cattle—Vealer 21s, steers £5 12s 6d to £7 ss, heifers £6 15a to £9 12s 6d, cows £9. Sheep.—Fat sheep: Cross-bred ewes and wethers, mixed. A bivyer for export was bidding very freely t'lis class, and fat ewes brought from 17s Id to 17s Bd, cross-bred ewes out of wool 12s 8d to 20s 4d ; cross-bred ewes, in wool, 15s; merino wether.?, 10s lid; merino wethers, in wool, 7s 9d ; lambs. 13s 6d to 15/i 6d; cross-bred wethers, 19s; merinoewes, 9s 5d to 10s 4d ; fat ewes, in wool, for export, 21s; fat shorn ewes, 18s. Store Sheep.—Hoggets, 13s_3d to'l4s; lid; cross-bred ewes, with lambs at foot, 9s 5d to 12s 7d ; do, shorn, 7s 3d, all counted ; merino ewes in wool, 6s 3d to 8s 6d, all counted. A line of wheat, 1100 bushels, Hunters, was sold on Saturday at 5s per bushel on trucks at Rakaia. Messrs Dalgety and Co. held a sale at Mackenzie on Friday la-st, there being close upon 100 head of cattle yarded, besides several hundred sheep. There was a large attendance, and bidding! was brisk. Prices werer—Two-tooth withers 13s, fat ewes 12s to 15s, young store cattle 65s to 90s, fowls Is 6d pair, ducks 3s pair, potatoes 12s per sack, oats 3s 6d to 3s 7d bushel, oatsheaf chaff up to £4 10s per ton. One thousand toteira posts were also, put up to auction, and cleared at from 2s 2d to 2s 4d each.
