OBITUARY.
■ ———— , AIRS J. A. GRAHAAI. It was announced in the cablegrams about a week ago that Airs Graham, wife of Air J. A. Graham, late of Sumner, had died at Oban, Scotland. The deceased lady was oho of -the very early settlers in these parts, as she arrived in the Cressy, which was one of the historical “first four ships.” For, the last quarter of a century, Air and Airs Graham lived at Sumner, and the latter will bo remembered by many people in this district on account of her extreme hospitality and great good nature. Visitors were always made welcome at her residence, and deep sympathy will be felt for Mr Graham in losing one who was so widely respected and esteemed. Air and Airs Graham left New Zealand with the intention of paying an extended visit to Europe, only, in Alarch of,this-year, and Air Graham is Still in England. Airs Graham suffered an illness -of less than a, week’s duration, death being caused by a bad chill, which acted upon the delicate condition! of her heart.
