LONG-DISTANCE MESSAGES
United Press Association —-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORK, August 19. The Cuna.rd steamer Luearia, which is equipped with Marconi's apparatus for wireless telegraphy, has been successful in sending messages through the Nantucket
Lightship, a distance of two hundred and eighty-seven miles, to New York.
