Pekin is placarded -with a proclamation stating that China, having committed a national crime in 1900, punishment has been inflicted as a warning against its recurrence, THE EVACUATION OP PEKIN. Lord Cranbourne announced that the official date for the evacuation of Pekin, except the Legation' guards, was August 15, but was subject to a few days extension. THE ADMINISTRATION OF WEI-HAI-WEI. (Received August 4, 5.31 p.m.) LONDON, August 3. ; The Colonial Office has 'succeeded 'the Admiralty in the administration of Wei-hai-wei.
