THE MELROSE CLUB EPISODE. [Pee Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 31. The Wellington Rugby Union last night approved of its Management Committee's action in suspending the Melrose Club. The wholesale suspension of the club was re-, moved, but it was resolved that the members of the First Fifteen and the Committee should bo suspended until an apology should be received from their members individually. The Canterbury representative team -to' meet Wellington next Saturday are requested to meet to-night at half-past seven sharp, at Tattersall's Training Rooms, Hereford Street, livery man is requested to bo present. An effort will be made for the whole team to turn out on Saturday, in the correct, uniform of the province, namely, red and black jersey supplied by the C.R.U., black knickers, black stockings or socks. It is desirable that each player will see that these instructions ar; carefully complied with. . The representative match, Canterbury v. Wellington, will be played at Lancaster Park on Saturday "next, at 3 p.m. The Canterbury team held, a successful practice at the North Park yesterday, and everything points to a good match. The Wellington team'will arrive on Friday morning, and will be quartered at the ■ Clarendon Hotel. They will be the guests of the Canterbury Rugby Union at the Dlx's Opera House" on Friday evening, and will ba taken for a drive to Sumner on Sunday. In the Primary Schools' Junior Competition, the match, Marist Brothers v. Aldington, resulted in a win for the firstnamed by five points to nil.
