'.A ."'. .GRAIN AND PRODUCE. The exports of grain and produce from Lyttelton last week included the following lines:—l2so sacks wheat, 1703 sacks and 2380 bags flour, 16,974 sacks oats, 126 sacks nieal, 5 sacks barley, 156 sacks malt, 416 ; sacks bran, 141 sack's sharps. 130 sacks pollard, 41T sacks chaff, 46 sacks rye, 1041 .sacks potatoes, 33 tsacks peas, 680 gunnies and 152 sacks onions, 461 sacks seed, and ;24 bales-hay. HORSE MARKETS. There was only a'limited number of horses at Tattersall's on Saturday, and as there were only a few good draughts cm offer, the sale was not very brisk, but a fair number of the better classes of both light and heavy horses changed hands. Best draughts brought from £24 to £26 10s, medium do £l4 to £lB, best light harneKS horses £l4 to £22, medium £8 to £l2, and a few unbroken trotting- animals £l4 to £2O. Hacks and inferior sorts, however, were almost unsaleable. -

PIGS AND POULTRY. The entries of pigs were very limited at Saturday's markets, and there was but little demand. Although poultry came forward in fair numbers, the-quality was very poor, and really well-finished table birds were conspicuous by their absence. Prices realised were as follows: —Pigs.— Storesl2s 6d to 15s, suckers and weaners 5s 3d to 10s. Poultry.—Roosters Is 6d to 3s 6d, hens 2s 3d to 3s, and up to 4s for special sorts, pullets 2s 9d to 3s 6d, ducks 2s 9d to 4s 3d, and geese 4s to 5s 6d. DARPIELD. At the Darfield Yards, on Friday, there was an entry of over 13,000 sheep, comprising all classes and some very choice lineis of fat lambs and freezers, which met with good competition, Most lines changed owners. Freezing wethers Brought from 15s 6d to 16s 4d, mixed freezers 15s 9d, fat lambs ..from 12s to 13s'5d, and a good line frdm Bangor brought 14s Id, and a line of over 800 was passed in at 13s 10d, fat cross-bred ewes from 10s Id to 13s 4d, merino wethers from, 10s 6d to lis 6d, merino ewes from 9s 7<i to 9s 9d, forward.sheep from 12s to 13s 7d, and a good line of wethers brought 14s 8d to 14s lid, cross-bred ewes—beet from 12s 6d to 14s 10d, medium from 10s 3d to 12s, old from 7s to 9s 4d.
