His Honor suitably responded, and in addressing the Grand Jury congratulated the district on. the absence of crime. A true bill was found against James Martin, of Grey mouth, for alleged manslaughter. The base of Lock Yee, for alleged murder of a countryman near Reef ton, was remitted until the next session on the application of the Crown Prosecutor. These were the only criminal cases set down.
