The New South Wales Lancers will be present. Colonel Sir Howard Vincent suggests that there should be wider colonial representation at the review which the Prince of Wales will hold in July. MILITARY TOURNAMENT. Only eight New South Wales Lancers will be allowed to enter for each event at the forthcoming military tournament. THE DUKE OF YORK. Bishop Tugwell has been committed for trial on a charge of criminal libel in connection with statements as to the immorality and drunkenness of Europeans on the west coast of Africa. He was released on bail. THE ARMENIANS. CONSTANTINOPLE, May 9. The Russian Government has warned the Porte that 20,000 Armenian refugees in the Caucasus territory must return to Anatolia. EMIGRATION FROM FINLAND, ST PETERSBURG, May 9. A thousand Finns of military age are emigrating to escape the conscription. LORD CURZON AND THE AMEER. CALCUTTA, May 9. Lord Curzon's relations with the Ameer of Afghanistan are extremely cordial. CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES. WASHINGTON, May 10. The Washington authorities have abandoned hope of effecting an agreement with Canada on the various matters in dispute. The Commission appointed to arrange for a settlement of the troubles is not likely to re-assemble.
