NORTH CANTERBURY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE.
A meeting of the committee of the North Canterbury Educational Institute was held on Saturday morning ; present—Mr J. Voss (in the chair), Mrs Wilkinson, Miss Dynes, Messrs. Foster, Hughes, Mayne, Seay, Rowley, Watkins, M’Leod and the Secretary. An apology was received from Mr L. Watson, The resignations of Miss L. Howard, Richmond, and Mr E. V. Hudson, Napier, were accepted. The Chairman arid Secretary were empowered to hike t he necessary step® to nominate Mr T. S. Weston as the .teachers’ representative on the Canterbury College Board of Governors. The Secretary wa,s asked to convey to Mr and Mrs T. M’Gallan the • committee’s sincere sympathy with them in their recent illness. It was decided to hold a social gathering in June. Arrangements were left in the hands of a sub-committee, consisting of Miss Dynes, Messrs Voss, Hughes, Rowley and Hall.
