TUESDAY’S WEATHER. % From Observations Taken at 9 a.ii There was a rise in the southern barometric readings: —Auckland 30.12, Wellington 29.68, Christchurch 29.92, Bluff 29.99. Light southerly and westerly winds prevailed, and wet weather was being experienced at Cape Maria van Diemen, Manukau Heads, Tauranga, Taupo, Wellington, Blenheim, Cape Campbell, Kaikoura, Nelson, ’ Greymouth, Bealey, Christchurch, Hanmer, Balclutha and Nuggets. The temperature in the shade ranged from 65rlcg to 45deg; Christchurch 46. The sea was rough in the north and at Kaikoura. The barometer at Christchurch was rising slowly.
