OBITUARY.

Another old colonist was laid to rest last week in the person of Mrs G, Weavers, of Opawa, who died at the age of seventy-four years. She was a native of Worcestershire, and came to New Zealand in 1834 in the ship’Ashmore, and settled in Opawa, where she has resided ever since. She married some years after her arrival here, and leaves a husband, two daughters and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss.
