CANTERBURY COLLEGE
BOARD OP GOVERNORS. The usual monthly meeting of the Canterbury College Board of Governors was held yesterday afternoon; present —Mr H. R. Webb (chairman), and Messrs R. Westenra, T. W. Adams, C. S. Howard, A. E. G. Rhodes, T. S. Weston, 1. Hughes, Hons W. Montgomery, E. C. J. Stevens, Right Rev Dr Julius, Revs Canon Harper, W. Morley and Gordon Webster. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Q. G. Stead, H. B. Kirk and G. W. Russell. Mr John Jackson, who had been appointed to the seat vacated by the Right Rev Dr Grimes, took his seat at the Board. The Registrar was appointed retnnringofficer to conduct the elections to the Board. The Rangiora High School Board forwarded a resolution which had been passed regretting that the Board of Governors had seen fit to displace Mr E. R. Good from the position which he had occupied as the nominee of the Board on the High School Board. The Chairman said that Mr Good’s term, of office had come to .an end, and. he wasmot proposed for re-election. The letter was received. The Board went into committee to-con-sider Die report of the Finance and. Estates Committee, and upon resuming,, rose.
