TPer Press Association.] WELLINGTON. May 30. Eleven Maori chiefs from Wairarapaand Hawke’s Bay paid a return visit to the Governor and the Admiral on Saturday. The Natives were especially impressed by the armament of i the flagship. ( Donald M’Kenzie, keeper of an oyster saloon in Taranaki Street, was committed for trial on a charge of wounding Ueter Maroney and Lewis Larsen with a knife. The hearing of tho charge against John Craig, in connection with Te Aro House affairs, was finished this evening. Accused was committed for trial, and hail was allowed, himself in £3OO and two sureties 0f,>2700..
