The chief secretary, Mr Drunker, has announced himself against the Federation Bill, on the ground that it does not secure one man one vote, and gives unequal power to the smaller States. FEDERATION. Sir G. R. Dibbs addressed a large meeting to-night, and strongly denounced the Federal Bill. A JAPANESE WARSHIP. BRISBANE, May 30. The foreign warship, which arrived at the mouth of the river yesterday, was the Japanese training ship Congo. She called for coal and provisions. FRUIT DISEASES. The Conference of Ministers of Agriculture discussed the prevention of the introduction of plant diseases. It was resolved that all exported fruits supposed to be infested with scale insects, and all plants imported from the various colonies, should be fumigated under the supervision of a Government-official and that all plants in the nurseries should be registered and periodically inspected.
