BURGLARY.

CAPTURED RED-HANDED. [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 25. The premises of George Garrett, butcher, Karangahape Road, were broken into and entered last night, and a man named William Knox was caught red-handed on the premises with a quantity of household requisites and goods packed up ready for removal, Knox bolted after a hand to hand struggle with Garrett, and was subsequently captured after an exciting chase by some tradesmen, and handed over to the custody of the police. He was brought up at the Police Court and remanded. Knox was tried at last criminal sessions, and pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving stolen goods. Ho was then bound over in his own recognisances.
