AUCKLAND NEWS.

[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 24. In the sly grog-selling cases at Coromandel the defendants pleaded guilty. T. E. Bates, of Kennedy’s Bay, was charged on four separate counts with selling liquor without a license, and was fined -.£5 on each charge, with costs £6 Bs. James Corrigan, of Cabbage Bay, was charged on two counts with a similar offence, and was fined £5 on each charge and costs JB4 6s. Two other charges against Mrs Corrigan and a lodger were withdrawn.
