TO THE EDITOR. Sm, —The London Clarion of Jan. 16, in speaking of Ben Tillefct’s departure for New Zealand, states as follows:—“On Sunday, Jan. 3, Ben Tillett left the Thames for Port Chalmers, Now Zealand, on hoard the s.s. Aotea, of the Shaw, Savill Line. For six months Ben has been ailing, and the bad symptoms developed till he became entirely unfitted for work, and the heart and lungs were so affected that the doctor declared it to be imperatively necessary Bon should get into a bettor atmosphere for a while than was possible in England. Through the kindly aid of the AgentGeneral for New Zealand this was made

possible, and Ben sailed as stated.” I, for one feel very grateful to Mr W. P. Reeves for his kindly action, and I believe there are thousands more who will venerate him for what he has done in this matter. —I am, &c„ , SOCIALIST.
