Mr Justice Kekewich appointed Mr Alexander Young receiver of the Midland Bailway. A section of the debenture-holders will appeal against the decision. THE ITALIAN NAVY. ROME, Feb. 5. The Italian Government has decided to expend £1,160,000 annually for a period of ten years on additions to the navy. SUGAE BOUNTIES. PARIS, Feb. 5. The Bill providing to increase the sugar bounties was passed in the Chamber of Deputies. The majority in favour of the Bill was a narrow one. FEANCE AND EUSSIA. The Gaulois states that the object of Count Muravieff’s visit to Paris was to urge President Faure to increase the fleets of the Eusso-Freneh alliance in the Levant, a step necessary owing to the presence of forty British warships in Besika Bay.
